License Renewal Problems

License Renewal Problems

We are not able to upgrade our license nor can we find specific instructions how to renew. When we follow the on screen instructions we are getting errors.

We are able to generate a new certificate, extend the term, but when we associate it with the existing configuration (including the domain), we get a message that the certificate already exists  (or something to that effect).  We have generated new csr's, followed every on screen prompt, but still can't do it.  

Any suggestions or instructions about what to do next? The issue seems to be associate a new cert with an existing certification.

It looks like you have created about 6 new certs, which most likely should not be possible.  Can you provide any info on how that might have happened?  I would love to recreate this.

On the main screen, if you click Change Configuration, then choose "Replace A Server" you should be able to paste the new CSR in the box and get a new cert.  If it doesn't have the new expiration, you can either choose Quick-renew or Change Configuration again, this time, click through and select 5 Free users for the term. 

There does seem to be a bug in the select configuration dropdown - it shows some configurations with 0 seats.  Be sure to choose the configuration with 5 seats before proceeding.

thanks Nick..we created the certs again and again so I'm not surprised you see those. 

Maybe we didn't think we should "replace a server" as you have written below. Let me retry it. What's the URL of that system?  I dont' have access to the box and we linked over webex to their. My sysadmin is in spain right now so we are doing this remotely.

We use the 'replace a server' to mean that you have created a new CSR and you want to use that instead of the existing cert.   Any time you create a new CSR, even if it is the server, you need to replace the cert that is on the CA system.

This server (2factor.wellter.com) already exists in a current license.

I assume that means we need to generate a new csr (which I need someone else to do).?

There should be one that has 5 seats listed.  

I think you will need to select that configuration and choose replace the server and paste in your new CSR.  If you have a CSR already, I do not think you need to create another.

In the worst case scenario, if we can't figure out this bug, you can create a new account on ca.wikidsystems.com with a different email (you can use a + like '[hidden email]' and get a new free license.  you can either change the FQDN you use when you create the cert (it doesn't have to match your DNS) or let me know and I can remove your existing FQDN.

That's the fastest way to another free license for a year today, I'm sorry to say.

You can keep your email, you just need to append something to the username to differentiate. Your mail server should support this.

On the main screen, if you click Change Configuration, then choose "Replace A Server" you should be able to paste the new CSR in the box and get a new cert.  If it doesn't have the new expiration, you can either choose Quick-renew or Change Configuration again, this time, click through and select 5 Free users for the term. 

There does seem to be a bug in the select configuration dropdown - it shows some configurations with 0 seats.  Be sure to choose the configuration with 5 seats before proceeding.

Any suggestions or instructions about what to do next? The issue seems to be associate a new cert with an existing certification.

On the main screen, if you click Change Configuration, then choose "Replace A Server" you should be able to paste the new CSR in the box and get a new cert.  If it doesn't have the new expiration, you can either choose Quick-renew or Change Configuration again, this time, click through and select 5 Free users for the term. 

There does seem to be a bug in the select configuration dropdown - it shows some configurations with 0 seats.  Be sure to choose the configuration with 5 seats before proceeding.

Any suggestions or instructions about what to do next? The issue seems to be associate a new cert with an existing certification.

On the main screen, if you click Change Configuration, then choose "Replace A Server" you should be able to paste the new CSR in the box and get a new cert.  If it doesn't have the new expiration, you can either choose Quick-renew or Change Configuration again, this time, click through and select 5 Free users for the term. 

There does seem to be a bug in the select configuration dropdown - it shows some configurations with 0 seats.  Be sure to choose the configuration with 5 seats before proceeding.

We are not able to upgrade our license nor can we find specific instructions how to renew. When we follow the on screen instructions we are getting errors.

We are able to generate a new certificate, extend the term, but when we associate it with the existing configuration (including the domain), we get a message that the certificate already exists  (or something to that effect).  We have generated new csr's, followed every on screen prompt, but still can't do it.  

Any suggestions or instructions about what to do next? The issue seems to be associate a new cert with an existing certification.

On the main screen, if you click Change Configuration, then choose "Replace A Server" you should be able to paste the new CSR in the box and get a new cert.  If it doesn't have the new expiration, you can either choose Quick-renew or Change Configuration again, this time, click through and select 5 Free users for the term. 

There does seem to be a bug in the select configuration dropdown - it shows some configurations with 0 seats.  Be sure to choose the configuration with 5 seats before proceeding.

We are not able to upgrade our license nor can we find specific instructions how to renew. When we follow the on screen instructions we are getting errors.

We are able to generate a new certificate, extend the term, but when we associate it with the existing configuration (including the domain), we get a message that the certificate already exists  (or something to that effect).  We have generated new csr's, followed every on screen prompt, but still can't do it.  

Any suggestions or instructions about what to do next? The issue seems to be associate a new cert with an existing certification.

In the worst case scenario, if we can't figure out this bug, you can create a new account on ca.wikidsystems.com with a different email (you can use a + like '[hidden email]' and get a new free license.  you can either change the FQDN you use when you create the cert (it doesn't have to match your DNS) or let me know and I can remove your existing FQDN.

I think you will need to select that configuration and choose replace the server and paste in your new CSR.  If you have a CSR already, I do not think you need to create another.

On the main screen, if you click Change Configuration, then choose "Replace A Server" you should be able to paste the new CSR in the box and get a new cert.  If it doesn't have the new expiration, you can either choose Quick-renew or Change Configuration again, this time, click through and select 5 Free users for the term. 

There does seem to be a bug in the select configuration dropdown - it shows some configurations with 0 seats.  Be sure to choose the configuration with 5 seats before proceeding.

We are not able to upgrade our license nor can we find specific instructions how to renew. When we follow the on screen instructions we are getting errors.

We are able to generate a new certificate, extend the term, but when we associate it with the existing configuration (including the domain), we get a message that the certificate already exists  (or something to that effect).  We have generated new csr's, followed every on screen prompt, but still can't do it.  

Any suggestions or instructions about what to do next? The issue seems to be associate a new cert with an existing certification.
