Setting up community server on CentOS 6

blason
Hey Fellas,

I am giving a try with Wikid Community edition server, have installed on Cent OS 6.4 and installed RPMs. Everytime I start wikidctl start it generates the SSL certificate and I receive the error.

Any clue what could have gone wrong.?

keytool error: java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: unrecognized algorithm name: SHA256WithRSA
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Keystore file does not exist: /opt/WiKID/conf/tomcatKeystore

That should have been created during setup.  Re-run 'wikidctl setup'. Step through the network part too.

Re: Setting up community server on CentOS 6

Yeah, I tried that too. but every time I run restart the setup it gives me that error and prompts me to generate the certificate.

Now giving a try on CentOS 5.6 not sure if trying that on CentOS caused that?

Yeah it was.
Any way I deleted that machine and giving a try with 5.6. Did you ever try that on CentOS 6? or are those RPMs only compatible with 5?

Yeah, 6 should be no problem.  Are you following this doc: http://www.wikidsystems.com/support/wikid-support-center/installation-how-tos/how-to-install-the-wikid-community-edition-3.x?

Yes Sir I am.

BTW just off topic. Can I use Wikid with Zimbra webmail? and can even community version work with Check Point VPN just like enterprise version.

You can see the differences here: http://www.wikidsystems.com/support/wikid-support-center/faq/whats-the-difference-between-the-community-release-and-enterprise-release

I am a big fan of radius. It is easy to setup and I bet zimbra supports it. Ldap is a pain.

Well, I guess we haven't tested with 6.4.  Not sure what would cause that though.

hmm...I am giving a try with multiple flavors. I am particularly interested in integrating with Check Point VPN. Though I am pretty novice to WiKid and I believe Community Edition does not support Radius or it does? And if does not I guess I can not use with Check Point, huh?

We use a 3rd party lib for radius, so it is not.

Feel free to download and test the enterprise version. The iso is quite easy.
